ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Common Electrical Problems in Older Warner Robins Homes

Homes built between 1965 and 1990 have some very predictable issues we see constantly.

1. Aluminum Branch Wiring

Used widely 1965–1973. Connections loosen over time and create fire hazards. We recommend pigtailing or full rewire in most cases.

2. 100-Amp Service

Insufficient for modern loads (EV chargers, tankless water heaters, large AC units).

3. Knob-and-Tube (pre-1960 homes)

Still found in some of the oldest neighborhoods. Insurance companies sometimes require replacement.

If you’re buying or renovating an older home, have the electrical system inspected by a licensed professional before closing.
